Research project optimized slowly running windturbine (short: OptiBine)

The research project OptiBine is concerned with the theme small windturbine.                                           It is a part of the study path "Kunststoff- und Elastomertechnik" at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.

We supplied a specific load controller with fited dump load resistor.

With this controller it is possible to break individual the windrotor while the test drive. This makes it possible to record the whole family of characteristics from the windrotor.

The measurement where realised at constant speed. Variety of windspeeds where realised with different speed of the railway locomotive.
